Dentist

Jenny Miedema D.D.S.

Dr. Jenny Miedema first arrived in Maine in 1994 when her father, a Navy dentist, was stationed at Brunswick Naval Air Station. After graduating from Morse High School in Bath, ME, Dr. Jenny attended Dickinson College in Carlisle, PA, where she earned a B.S. in both Biology and Psychology. Upon graduation, she spent 3 years in the Army Signal Corps.

After traveling the world, Dr. Jenny decided to follow in her father’s footsteps to become a dentist. She was a member of the inaugural class at the University of New England College of Dental Medicine, graduating in 2017. After graduation, she then completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at the VA Dental Clinic in Togus, ME. Following residency, Jenny continued to serve the veteran community by practicing at Togus as a staff dentist.

Today, Dr. Jenny is a compassionate dentist in Windham who enjoys building relationships with her patients so that she can better understand their dental needs and goals. She believes in cultivating a relaxing and gentle environment so that patients feel at ease while receiving dental treatment. Outside of dentistry, Dr. Jenny enjoys many of the outdoor activities that Maine has to offer. She loves golfing and skiing with her teenage son Colten.

Office Manager

Alana

Alana has been in the dental field for 15 years. She started out as an assistant right out of high school. She truly enjoys interacting with the patients and creating a welcoming and positive experience at the office for all. She has been one of the smiling faces that greets you at the office for over seven years!

Dental Hygienist

Soy

Soy is our hygiene lead and brings her contagious humor, laughter, enthusiasm, and compassion to our Roosevelt Dental family. She graduated from UNE with a bachelor’s degree and received an outstanding education in bone and gum health some 20+ years ago, and she is never without a smile or a story about her life (just ask).

Her personal goal is to develop a partnership with each person that will not only provide them with the highest quality dental care but also educate them on how oral care is the gateway to improving their overall health. She believes in treating people the way she would like to be treated. Soy resides in Windham with her husband, three children, a cat, and a dog. In her spare time, she enjoys substitute teaching, reading, unplugging, and just relaxing.

Meet our hygienist Liz! Liz graduated from the University of New England in 2014 and is in her 10th year of practicing dental hygiene. She joined our Roosevelt Dental team this past July and has been enjoying every moment of her time here. She enjoys not only caring for her patients and their oral health but also taking the time to get to know each one.

Hannah

Hannah graduated with her dental hygiene degree from the University of New England in 2016. She enjoys helping people feel good about their smile and improving their overall health. Outside of work, she loves spending time with her husband and kids, whether they’re camping or out on the boat.

Meet our dental assistant Kelly! Not only has Kelly been a dental assistant for nearly a decade, but she’s been with Roosevelt Dental all that time to boot. She has such a kind and caring nature about her and will make any and every patient feel at ease. We are so lucky to have her as a part of our team!

Expanded Function Dental Assistant

Darcy

Darcy has nearly 14 years of experience as a dental assistant. She continued her education and became an Expanded Function dental assistant in 2019, which has allowed her to perform more skills and duties. Darcy lives in Raymond with her family and enjoys boating on Sebago Lake during summer.

Patient Care Coordinator

Janet

Janet has been a part of the team here at Roosevelt Dental for a few years as a patient care coordinator. She enjoys working with the patients and staff. You will see her when checking out. She is always happy to assist with any questions and scheduling needs!

Kelcie

Kelcie graduated from the Maine Medical Center School of Surgical Technology in 2019. She started as an assistant at Roosevelt Dental in 2020 and now works at the front desk. Kelcie is passionate about providing patients with the best care and being a friendly voice on the phone. When she is not working, she enjoys spending time with her friends and three dogs.
